When I apply a holiday or work at home, I always use a Chinese way to think what the boss will think—I fear he will think I am not a hard working guy and spend a lot of time thinking of relax and lower my impression in boss’ mind.
I think I am wrong, my European boss like someone who knows what he is doing and work hard also play hard, except work has his own wonderful life.
You absolutely should be hard working, but you also should have other thing to do.
Like JP said: it is your holiday, why not use it( with out fear some non sense)

They are right, like A, work hard, but never hesitate to apply a holiday and relax, he really deserve it. Everyone can see it.
Find the reason of this worry is I am not confident. Come on man, forget expecting good impression from them, just be enterprise, hard work, control your fate in your own hand. You will get plenty of chance and they will hope you are here.
