Thank you
Excuse me
Sorry
Please
May, Could
Should I say English try to be more polite, I think possible the answer is YES!
Look at the language that they use very often, then you can feel. It is not some nonsensical thing, as Chinese, we try to think if people are familiar with each other, then they normally communicate in a very casual and relax way, then they forget this kind of polite words.
But Chinese also have a old saying to warm people: No one will blame over polite!
Chinese mainly polite words:
Nihao=Hope you are fine
Da rao=Excuse me
Xiexie=Thank you
Dui bu qi( or Bu hao yi si)=Sorry
Qing=Please
Ni( to people younger than you), Nin( show respect to people, normally older than you in North China area)=You
We have these words, but we didn't use them as often as English.
