To be frank, I don’t know the meaning of this lyric very well, because of the confusing about the real meaning of ‘queen’ ,’freedom’, ’snow’, ’shine’, ’light’ ,’night’ ,’love’ ‘rain’ and ‘rainbow’ in this song. The heart quake melody from eagles caught me when I first heard it.
For my understanding, This song is based on the real lives of desperado in mid-west of America in 19 century. The author would like people stop controlling their life in a pigheaded way, they should open their gates of hearts and experience true life before it is too late.
People is spiteful to desperado, but they also envy him in their heart. In the true world, who can live like a desperado without any worry to make his last bet. With more experience of life, more feeling will come out with this desperado.I don't know any desperados,except some fake ones. They pretend to be brave and fear to nothing, in fact they are timid and caring everything of the common people care.
